Faith City Ministries’ Employment Services assists our clients in securing employment, by matching their work skills with the work skills needed by our participating employers.
We will help anyone who enquires about employment services; however, our primary clients are the Amarillo homeless community, the Faith City Ministries’ “Hope for Men” and “Hope for Women” graduating students, and the Faith City Ministries’ work program participants.
The graduating students are eligible to work part time the last 3-4 months of their year long program; and often make the transition to full time with the same company upon graduation. The work program participants stay at the ministry for 60-90 days, their basic needs provided, while saving their paychecks for first month’s rent, utility deposits, etc. The homeless, with the help of either the work program or our year long program, have the opportunity to make the transition to mainstream society.
