Jena Taylor
Executive Director
jtaylor@faithcity.org
"I began volunteering here five years ago," says Taylor. "I sorted clothes in the sorting room so that I wouldn’t actually have to interact with the homeless. God required more of me, and I began teaching the women’s Bible study here. I was asked to be on the board. In six months, I became President of the Board." A year later I began preaching in the chapel to the guests off the streets. "I loved that most of all. The guests just came to be so dear to me." In August of 2007, Taylor stepped into the position of director.
When asked what her goals were for the mission, she was quick to respond. "We want to see transformed lives. The good news is that God can change any heart. We see it happen here all of the time. Until the heart changes, nothing really gets accomplished."
"Do we sometimes have difficult cases? Absolutely! I preach in Chapel once a week. It can look like a bunch of rowdy third graders sometimes! But I find them to be vulnerable and open; and quite surprised that there is a better way and Faith City Ministries is willing to help them find it." Our job here at Faith City is to extend the kindness of God to our guests in any way possible.
Jena is a magna cum laude graduate from Texas Tech University holding two degrees. She has over fifteen years experience in the recovery program, and teaches its principles to the guests at the ministries

Director of Women's Recovery and Education
peubanks@faithcity.org
I was married for 20 years, and after the pain of going through a divorce, I began seeking the Lord and invited Him into my life. I have been a part of the 12 Step world for almost 20 years, so my relationship with the Lord has really blossomed. In January 2008 I received a phone call from the interim Director at FCM to be interviewed for teaching 12 Step recovery to the Hope For Women’s program. I have been on staff at FCM since February 2008.
